Tourism

Your life will be enriched if you go to a reservation to learn more about
the diverse lifestyles and cultures that our country has. Go with respect,
go to see a Powwow, go to buy Indian crafts or art, go to make a new
friend, and go to have fun!

If you are visiting South Dakota, go into Rapid City before you go onto
the Black Hills and the Pine Ridge Reservation. While in Rapid City you
must see The Journey Museum where a grand historical overview of the
area is presented. Then visit Prairie Edge in downtown Rapid City. It’s a
beautiful store of Indian art, crafts, books, and music.

Another must-visit is the Badlands National Park. There will be food,
lodging and a campground near the park. But when traveling through
Pine Ridge take some snacks, you will be in a remote area.
